Standing at the location as above, you can relate both the tree with the landmark building by including both of them in your composition of the picture. The creative use of framing both of the subjects makes your subject more standout. It’s also advisable to make use of the natural lighting direction. Placing the tree as the foreground will make both of your subjects here more “clean” and “focused”.
It’s also important to give the right balance of proportion to both the subjects during the composition. This is to avoid uneasiness of viewing if both subjects were “wrongly” proportioned. As long as it fulfills the basic theory of composition by brings out the subject of the picture, the absence of framing the full view of both subjects is acceptable. |
